As a custom cabinetmaker since 1984, I create a variety of cabinetry, furniture and accessories. My larger projects range from hardwood kitchens to built-ins for bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms and offices. For customers looking for a piece of furniture to match other furniture, I can design and make tables, bookshelves, small cabinets and accessories such as mirrors, clocks and lamps. I started working with mixed media on smaller projects after receiving a Sam and Alfreda Maloof Scholarship in Furniture Design in 1990 from the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Colorado. Some of my accessories and small furniture pieces are created with mixed media combinations of wood, plaster, paint and some found objects. These items bring bright colors to accent the warmth of the natural wood colors.
