The combination of art and music has brought me to my 15 year career of drum making. I have been working with wood for most of my life. At age 6, I made my first drum from a hollowed-out tamarack pine log and a cowhide. Starting in my teenage years, I worked building wooden boats, fine furniture and finish carpentry. A desire to work for myself led me to the art of drum making, a career that has allowed me to combine my two loves of music and creating objects out of wood. My drums are all hand crafted here in my Westminster West studio using local woods and environmentally friendly finishes. I also make a wide array of other percussion instruments including tongue drums and shakers. If you have a heartbeat you can drum
thus the name Everyones Drumming.
