Vermont Shepherd, also known as Major Farm, in Putney, VT has been making award winning sheep's milk cheese since 1993. Our cheese is handcrafted and the recipe comes from a visit to shepherds in the French Pyrenees. Our Vermont Shepherd Cheese is full of flavor and has a beautiful natural rind. Vermont Shepherd has been featured in The New York Times, Food and Wine, Gourmet, Wine Spectator and many other publications and is available in specialty food shops nationwide.
