Fruit, vegetables and flowers have eternally inspired artists. I, too, am drawn to their intricacies, grace and beauty. I have rendered this subject matter in three portfolios. The first portfolio, Botanicals, are photographs taken with a large format camera. They are printed and toned on silver gelatin paper and are available in two editions sizes, 16 x 20 and 4 x 5. A second portfolio, Florals, are digitally captured images. These are giclee print editions, 10 x 12. A third portfolio, Nature’s Bounty, are hand-coated silver gelatin on watercolor paper. My work has been shown throughout New England and published nationally. I recently received a Vermont Arts Council Grant, along with a Vermont Community Foundation Art Endowment award to work on a new group of photographs focused on domestic chores. My goal is to create images inspired by the beauty in our everyday world: the texture of a petal, the light on a teacup, thus creating a connection to these moments and cultivating mindfulness.
