How to purchase my work

I tend to have a large amount of available inventory between OCT 1- JAN 1st. The best way to contact me is my cell 802-380-2763 but I am also on Facebook messenger, Instagram instant messenger or via text. My cell phone coverage is rather un-predictable as I live behind the tall pines of the forest.

I’m a glass artist that works in both lamp working and furnace work, specializing in various forms of vessels. I also enjoy teaching and learning new techniques.

My addiction to glass began when I first saw that hypnotizing bubble pop out of the end of the blow pipe.

Name?

Glass is my therapy and a healthy fixation.

Growing up I was not very artistic and was quite bored in art class but I am easily entertained and was instantly mesmerized at the potential of the many forms you can create with glass. Looking back and reflecting at my very first obsession with glass that began over 20 years also gives me a strong feeling of astonishment.

I’ve grown to appreciate the opportunity to manipulate such a perilous, fluid substance. It also presents welcoming challenges with dealing with many oxidating colors such as silver, copper ruby or even a teal color. Many of times you get very excited to see how these have reacted when you remove them from the annealer.

I like to analyze what I attempted to make it do from that previous session. I hope to share my skills and knowledge and pass the torch onto my daughters someday.

My Favorite Crafting Tool

Oddly enough two of my favorite tools are a common knife from a kitchen drawer or a simple pair of old reliable tweezers. The knife comes in very handy when making a crease for a heart pendant or paperweight. The tweezers are great for flipping a hook on a pendant or just placing a finished piece in the annealer.
